i know i know i haven’t posted anything up here in quite a while. it feels as though we had zero spring here in new york, and now that we’ve suddenly been catapulted into a sped-up summer, i can’t seem to find time to fruitfully organize my time! that and my quest to purchase a new macbook pro was stunted this past 4th of july weekend when the apple store in nh was unfortunately out of stock of just about every computing device.
but enough with excuses, now on to some ongoing projects i have for the summer:
i just received my moleskine for the arthouse sketchbook project 4: the library, and i’m incredibly excited to start filling in the pages with illustrations, doodles, hand-lettering, some mixed media works and the like. being outside is always a source of inspiration for me, and i’m incredibly grateful that my birthday month is finally gifting me with enough sunshine to escape the confines of my apartment!
i’m also putting together a few ideas for the amazing alexis buryk’s new venture, lexi b. photography. she’s off to chicago in september, and hopefully the clientele there will quickly realize that her talents behind the lens are worth paying big wads of cash for. here are a few sketches for the design of her logo – i’ll post more as we finalize the look:
i’m also starting my forays into the vast world of freelance illustration, so if anyone has any words of advice on how to get started, i’d greatly appreciate it!
